The Recruitment Process
When applying for a job, it will be helpful to have the following information handy to enable us to process your application effectively.
- The dates and details of any courses, degrees, tickets, certificates or diplomas you have
- The dates and details of any previous employment experience
- Your current email address
- Details of current referees, both professional and personal, with current contact details
As part of the online process you will be informed of the Terms and Conditions of your application and requested to answer some questions and provide details of your employment history.
You can attach a resume or copies of any certificates which can assist with your application. Attachments should be in Microsoft Word .doc/docx, PDF or RTF format and be no larger than 2MB.
Candidates who reach the interview stage with Mackay Sugar will be required to undergo assessment (dependant on role, this testing may include psychometric, computer skills, verbal, numerical and mechanical comprehension, weld testing and/or Functional fitness), reference checking and a pre-employment medical.
New employees undergo an induction phase which includes an e-Induction, Generic Site Induction covering Health, Safety, Environment and Human Resources components and a Site Specific Induction/familiarisation.
